(Mac OS X 10.5.6 users) I want to use built-in WWAN

support, but my carrier is not AT&T. What settings do I

need to change?

The modem’s default settings for built-in WWAN support are conﬁ gured for AT&T

customers. To enable built-in WWAN support to work for another carrier, you

must change the APN setting in Network Preferences (consult your carrier for

their APN setting).

To change the APN setting:

1. Insert the modem.

2. Click the WWAN icon, then click Conﬁ gure now (see Figure 1).

3. When the new port is detected, click Continue. When the network is

detected, the WWAN icon changes to show the signal strength.

4. Click the WWAN icon and select Open Network Preferences.
